Munich / Cologne, August 18, 2025 – Big news for gaming talents that emerged at our Immersive Storytelling: Games: two games have made it all the way to gamescom 2025 – the world’s largest gaming event!
Students from the HFF and TU Munich came together in an interdisciplinary games seminar earlier this year to develop game prototypes. In lectures, panels, and hands-on sessions, participants received valuable mentoring from industry experts and finished with a playable game prototype.
The student projects will be showcased in the buzzing Indie Area, more precisely in the “RAW TALENT” section in Hall 10.2 – the hotspot for fresh ideas and creativity, to engage with direct feedback from gamers and industry pros alike.
The lucky gamescom 2025 participants are:

FORGOTTEN COLORS
Forgotten Colors is a third-person puzzle-platformer set in a world where emotions shape reality. In this universe, people can become trapped as ghosts in the physical world if they fixate on a single emotion and lose touch with their other “colors.”

OFF COURSE
In this single player cooperation game, you need to use the time loop you are stuck in to your advantage. Find a way to the helm of a ship through various puzzle rooms in order to save it from its downfall and break out of the endless cycle.

For the teams, gamescom is more than just an expo: it’s a global stage. Every year, hundreds of thousands of visitors on site and millions online follow the event, making it one of the most important gaming showcases worldwide, alongside Tokyo Game Show and (formerly) E3.
Curious to see the future of gaming in action? Come by the “RAW TALENT” booth, discover the prototypes, and meet the creative minds behind them.
